Julie Pero and Carey Powell began the At Home Washington Real Estate Group to answer a need for better representation, better outcomes, and better opportunities for Buyers and Sellers to reap the benefits of home ownership. In a nutshell, they wanted to help their friends and family grow and create lasting, generational wealth. Over time, this grew to a robust, like-minded team trained and led by Carey and Julie, a Nationally Ranked Sales Team. Almost 97% of our business comes from referrals by past clients, vendors, even other agents. We are proud of that number and proud of what we have achieved together with our clients and team.

Carey Powell is a skilled negotiator who has been working in Sales and Negotiations for over 25 years. She has been the number 1 sales agent in the Country for 3 Fortune 500 Companies, Invited to Speak at a Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting, and even wrote a Sales Manual used for a major Insurance Company. Carey is also our listing specialist. If you've met with Carey, you've no doubt heard her say that she has no ability to sugar coat things. She is honest to a fault but also passionate about doing the right thing and making mountains move for her friends, family, and clients. Carey leads all negotiations for the entire team. If it involves your hard-earned money and growing wealth, Carey is involved.

Julie Pero is our Managing Broker with a Master's degree in business and an incredible aptitude for Marketing. Real Estate has evolved a lot in the last few years! So have the contracts and intent behind them. Each element outlines some aspect of the deal, benefits one party or the other, limits your recourses, and none are written in simple English. It's important to make sure those contracts are working for your benefit and goals. Julie goes through every contract, deal, proposal, and post it note for every client working with the team. Even if you are working with another team member, Julie is working for you. She is also our go to marketing guru. Her knowledge of how the internet works is why we don't just list homes, we sell them!
